The issue of gay marriage is a tough one in this society because marriage has already been defined in our traditions, and now there are people who are seeking to re-define it.
And maybe these people have a point. We need to take a fresh look at the meaning and purpose of marriage in this rapidly changing world of ours.
This does not mean we should throw out old meanings at all. They are valuable in their own right, and need no defense; but perhaps the emerging new meanings and possible definitions need no be attacked, as they are by some.
We will try to sort these various considerations out here, and try to reconcile the old and the new meanings pf marriage.
